- Feed 80% of the total diet using South American Mix pellets.
- The remaining 20% should consist of fresh fruits and vegetables (15%) and fresh hand-selected nuts (5%).
- Pellet feeding rate: Approx 8g per 100g of bodyweight.
Example daily pellet requirements:
- Small Conure (~100g bodyweight): Requires a minimum of 8g per day.
- Medium Amazon (~400g bodyweight): Requires a minimum of 30g per day.
- Large Macaw (~800g bodyweight): Requires a minimum of 60g per day.
Additional Food Suggestions:
- 15% fresh fruits and vegetables.
- 5% fresh hand-selected nuts, such as almonds, walnuts, macadamias.
